WHAT HAD HAPPENED: A TRUE CRIME PODCAST

About What Had Happened: A True Crime Podcast

What had happened, what happened, what went wrong? How could this happen, how could this be, what is happening? So many complex variations of the first, what had happened? What had happened is this, my name is Kimberly and I am the curator and host of What Had Happened : A True Crime Podcast. I was born in the early 80’s. As a girl, I was raised to be aware of monsters in the real world. My mother taught me about Adam Walsh as she re-enforced  stranger danger. I couldn’t eat my morning cereal or walk into a store without seeing the haunted smiles of children missing throughout the country. America’s Most Wanted and Cops widened the net and lifted the veil other types of monsters hid behind for me. In my life I'd begun to witness and endure the dark side of humanity personally but didn't understand it.  My healthy fear of trouble and dare I say fascination and desire to understand why other people do unspeakable acts further was fed by my high school library and cable TV programming. From Helter Skelter to Forensic Files I was learning as much as I could. Some crimes sit with us forever haunting our thoughts. The sheer viciousness and rage that can be unleashed onto a person has always bothered me. There are some crimes that I have learned about over the years that have kept me up at night. It’s 2am and my face is bathed in the light  on my phone as I google names or a crime that has taunted or nagged at me.  I’ve always had a need to understand the deeper layer to the question why?  The late great Michelle McNamara similarly spoke about it in detail and was driven to unravel the hell scape EARONS traipsed through for decades. Anne Rule made her career traveling the country writing books about heinous crimes and murderers. Scores have been compelled to blog/vlog/write/podcast and document these crimes. I am no different. Fast forward 21 years and I am still just as immersed in true crime and ready to bring my voice to you, a diverse true crime community bringing you lesser known true crime stories as I feel that they are just as important as the more mainstream true crime stories that we've become familiar with. Recoding from Anywhere, USA, I cover stories from everywhere I provide you with the facts and my unfiltered feelings about the crimes I discuss. Yes, I tend to cuss.
